“ Awesome day. Full day. Started with a cowboy breakfast of pancakes, sausage gravy, biscuits and a delicious link sausage. Had time to check out the "Dances with Wolves" set. Got on the tour bus at 9am for a full day- Mt Rushmore, driving through famous tunnels and roads. Wildlife Loop in Custer State Park, we saw lots of wildlife, especially Bison and prairie dogs. Then off to Crazy Horse Memorial. Amazing. Back to the chuckwagon for a delicious cowboy supper and dinner show. Dinner show was very entertaining. Everyone was very nice. I would do it again. We had a wonderful time. ”
“ Stopped for breakfast, yummy Cowboy pancakes. .99 all you can eat with free refills on coffee. Our 2nd time here, and I can't wait to go back. Four adults and spent just a little over 15 total. Water is free, and there's a separate charge for juice and sausages. Rustic interior and very clean the staff is wonderful and welcoming, and they even had a man playing the piano. Take time after you eat to walk around the lot and enjoy the old buildings that were part of the Dances With Wolves movie set. Lots of fun photo opportunities for the kids and adults to enjoy. Gift shop also. (We have not had the biscuits and gravy yet, next visit.) ”
“ The atmosphere is great and the music was very entertaining. They did, however, run out of potatoes before all the guests got through the line. We had breakfast there one time during our trip and it was very filling. We loved chatting with the owner about the property and history of Fort Hayes the Black Hills and his life. ”
“ Wife & I had an amazing time at Fort Hays right after Memorial Day. The "Dances with Wolves" museum contains lots of photos and info on the making of the movie. We also booked a group tour to visit Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse and met wonderful people along the way. We had an enjoyable time at the dinner & show. At Fort Hays we rode the Buffalo hunting coaster, definitely a must do activity (unless its raining), a shout-out to Paulie and Krystal for keeping us safe! I love their breakfast options and am going through withdrawals cause of the BACON! Yes, the BACON is yummy-licious! :-) Kudos and High 5's to Fort Hays staff!! ”
